Reaching the 1000$ Mark !

Money money money money! My girlfriend and I have been waiting for a while to reach this point.

I’m horrible at saving money, so i’ve decided to start getting ready for retirement now. (I’m 27 years old) My plan is to buy land for CHEAP, then slowly build a house on it. It’s ok if there’s no water or Hydro nearby, i’ll tech it up and make it work. By the time i’m ready to retire, if I haven’t saved much money, i’ll atleast have land and a house that is paid and belongs entirely to me. Leaving Food, taxes, insurance, internet, and luxuries left to pay. (And I plan on growing / raising alot of the food myself)

Land I wantI gave myself 1 year to have enough money to buy some cheap land in New Brunswick. For $10,000 I will have something VERY nice to build on. (Believe it or not) Today i’ve passed the $1000 mark, so i’m 1/10th of the way there after 2.5 Months. It’s a little behind schedule, but the land i’m looking at is closer to 5-6000$ so I just might make it anyways. :)

I realize this has nothing to do with techie stuff, but this whole website was started as a motivational thing to get me to do this. My land will become the PHYSICAL TechieNation. :)

As always, the money I have saved for this project is in the bar on the right for everyone to see, as I put money in the techie nation fund, I update the blog.
