Eclipse of the Moon

  • Author: DigitalMind

Did anyone else take the time to look up last night to see the Lunar Eclipse ? I went outside a few times, I saw the orange moon that is in the picture. It was beautiful.

As a techie, I like all things new or uncommon. This counts. :)

You can read more about eclipses here.

Calvin and I wanted to see it but we didn’t know what time it was supposed to happen; we kept hearing it announced on the radio, but no time was indicated. We are early sleepers, so we kept peeking out the window between 8 - 9 pm. Around 9pm I saw what resembles the 2nd image in your post. After that, my head hit the pillow.

Actually, I had to pee at about 10 or 11, and when I looked up (peeing outside, of course) I saw the moon in pretty much a full eclipse. It looked like a shrivelled up piece of cheese or something.

Was the moon almost invisible ? Or simply turned orange like the last picture above .. ??

No, the moon was visible, but very dark orange, darker than the last picture you posetd. And very small, somehow. It was weird. If I hadn’t known there was an eclipse that night, I would have taken me a while to figure out that it was the moon looking like that.
